David Nartey
Hi, I'm David. I'm currently studying Physics at the University of Warwick and offer high-quality online tuition for GCSE Maths and Physics. My goal isn't simply to help students memorise formulas — it's to help them truly understand the ideas behind them, so they become confident, independent problem solvers who achieve excellent exam results.
A physicist by training, a tutor by instinct.
I'm a Physics undergraduate at the University of Warwick with a genuine love for mathematics, physics and the kind of analytical thinking that connects the two. Tutoring gives me the chance to pass that on — not as a list of rules to remember, but as a way of thinking that students can rely on long after the exam is over.
I keep my teaching style friendly, patient and approachable, and I build every lesson around the individual in front of me: their strengths, the gaps that need attention, and the pace that actually works for them.
- Lessons tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses
- Friendly, patient, and genuinely approachable
- Passionate about maths, physics and problem-solving

Understanding first. Grades follow.
My teaching is built around genuine understanding rather than memorisation — because a student who understands why something works can handle a question they've never seen before.
Understanding over memorising
We build ideas from first principles, so knowledge sticks because it makes sense — not because it was repeated enough times.
Deriving, not just using, formulas
Seeing where a formula comes from makes it intuitive — and far easier to recall and apply under exam pressure.
Logical reasoning and problem-solving
We practise breaking unfamiliar problems into smaller, solvable steps — a skill that transfers well beyond one exam.
Confidence with the unfamiliar
By the time exam season arrives, students shouldn't just know the syllabus — they should feel ready for the questions they haven't seen before.
"Strong grades are a natural consequence of deep understanding. When students know why something works, they are far better prepared for challenging exam questions."
